Great, thats what I wanted to hear. My boats run strong and are set up for surf action, now its the old "no guts, no glory" attitude that must endure. Paul sent me some decals to "represent" Maggo's and I need to do them justice. I might go SJ next year, but the wife will kill me if I bring home another boat right now(5).Ross_C said:Fuzzy aka Crig Boyd used to do some insane stuff in the surf on his 650sx...

Hey cookerq62, glad you asked. I got those sent to me by Mudphish, I wanted to try and add extra stability for heavy surf riding. As you might know, Superjets are designed for a more stable ride than the Kawi's ever were. That given, they help just give me a more forgiving ride in the ocean than without them. You really never get up enough speed for them to affect handling in a bad way, they just help keep you on the boat longer (note they are parallel to the hull, unlike on a 550). If I rode at the lake all the time I would just take them back off. Surfs up! They'll be right under my footholds soon.cookerq62 said:crab, how does your 650 handle with those rear sponsons?
oh yeah, didn't I say I was going to give you a set of sponsons? I'm guessing you don't want them now, but I got em, and they are still yours if you do...BTW one side has a little hack in it, nothing bad though...crab said:Hey cookerq62, glad you asked. Thanks Pete, I'm going ballistic when we get to Westport on May 6&7. The only thing I really worry about it messing up my neck. I'm takeing the X2 and the SX, so if I f... up one boat I can still ride the other. I actually like the X2 more when jumping, it has more control with the wide foot stance.PancakePete said:Crab,
You can Roll and Back flip a 650... I did it on a reallly really heavy 750 with years of engine beating. your 650 is probly faster. But I still got the thing upside down bone stock (w/ footholds). If theres a will theres a Way !

I have seen that great paintwork on the ski, wow!!! I saw your post earlier this year over at JSN, you should bring a boat down next weekend and join the fun. I know we will be at Halfmoon bay, but not sure exactly where that is. It can be done.
