I don't know if you have Ace Hardware stores over there, but that is where I get all my hardware.
Is the stock exhaust still on the ski? If so then just use the inlet ports from that. Most likely they're the same thread pitch and that's probably what happened to them, the original owner had to use them off the stock exhaust for that pipe so he took them back off when selling it. Also I would really recommend using some anaerobic flange sealant on the gasket surfaces. I like the OMC Gelseal, it's a bit pricey but works well. The nice thing about that stuff is that it can be applied and left for days...it won't cure until it's under pressure so it stays in gel form.
Usually if new exhaust gaskets are going to be used (and they should be) then you don't really need to worry about it. But who knows if there are dings and nicks or uneven sealing surfaces, that's where that stuff becomes worth it's weight in gold. I'm not sure if the bolts are S.S. or not, can't remember off the top of my mellon but if you have a few then just match them up at where ever you plan to buy new ones. No point in paying 2+ dollars per bolt for OEM when the hardware stores sell the same thing for way less.
how did u get the middle bottom two bolts on the exhaust manifold tightened up??
Awesome, what about the other fitting that is at the bottom of the pipe? The one that is before the manifold itself.
Chips:
I made a wrench!! I just cut a wrench and took the starter out it was kind of a beotch but I think I got them tight enough. Ow I also used crows feet.
Mine goes:
Pump to exhaust manifold - Head to bottom of pipe - Top of pipe to the stinger
Awesome thanks alot, its been making me so mad I couldnt figure it out.
hmm yea ive gotta figure somethin like that out. bad design.
No problem. As long as you get it jetted right you should notice a pretty big difference over the stock pipe.
