Got quite a bit done today. This is the easiest aftermarket hull to assemble that i've ever built. So far only the pump bolts had to be modified to fit in this hull (oem sj bolts are too long, they bottom out before holding the pump tight). Pretty good for aftermarket. All oem superjet parts fit right in with no modifying. Usually you have to grind stuff or egg a hole out or something, nothing on this one. I was just amazed.
Every thing went so well and fast together. I prolly could have got the ski running today, however Im waiting on a steering cable and i had a prop repitched by skat trak and its not back yet. I didn't want to plumb all the fuel lines, and finish the waterbox and exhaust hose routing till i get the cable, because it has to be removed to install. And of course pump area cant be finished without cable and prop. If you had this hull a rrp pole and a running donor superjet, you could build a running ski in a day.
Very little shimming was needed, just rear of the pump and everything fits so nicely.
Im running the R&D cylinder stock stroke motor with 49 full specs, boyesen intake and reeds, fpp mod pipe, ported head pipe/manifold, vilder lite charging flywheel, msd enhancer and ada kawi couplers
Pump is a 144 mag 12vein, non setback, with 12/17 prop and skatrak tilt nozzle. Jet Dynamics intake grate and rrp rideplate.
Steering is rrp pole, rrp steering and bars, umi trigger and odi grips.
