Just want to get some opinions before I turf over these things. This is how my install has gone thus far.
Cut and fitted the holds and the hull best I could, roughed up all surfaces and cleaned them all. Mixed up some epoxy resin and a bit of filler and bonded the holds to the hull (there was a 3"x3" area above the toe section that was flat and mated to the hull nice) then used screws to hold them in while that dried. After it dried I poured foam in behind the hold to fill all voids and expand out of the big air gaps the holds had between the hull (they dont fit the best) that was my new base for laying glass over. I pulled out the screws then mixed up some resin and filler and feathered out all the edges on all mating surfaces. Let that dry and resanded it all. Then I cut up some 8.7oz 3" tape for all the seams. I layed 1 layer around the part that was bonded to the hull (more for asthetics when turfing than strength because the epoxy I glued it in with set up SUPER strong. I layed 2 layers over all the other surfaces and then layed a sheet of 1208 biax between the holds (which also went into the bottom of the holds) I just want to make sure this will be strong enough, just lake riding, nothing crazy.
