How do I remove a Kawi Flywheel with the crank already out of the cases. I don't want to damage the crank (it is still good!)

Thanks in advance... (I have the puller bolt)

a buddy could probably hold the crank in an old towel.the kawi puller tool doesnt require too much force

I usually use a big adjustable that fits around the center piece of the crank. I usually find a way to lock the adjustable while i crank the puller bolt or have someone hold the adjustable while a crank on the puller bolt. It shouldn't give you to much trouble they pop off pretty easy even by hand without the impact.

You remove the flywheel with your puller the same as if it was all together. Do you mean how do you remove the flywheel bolt? I would stick the crank back in the cases (to hold it with out damaging it) and then steady the crank by sticking 2 2x4 blocks on either side of the rod (throw an ratchit extention in the rod and rest on blocks) and rotating the crank until it won't move, then remove the flywheel bolt and of course then use your puller to remove the flywheel

I've band clamped a pipe to one of the 'crows toes' to hold the puller rather than the flywheel since I don't have an impact wrench. Usually I can get them without putting anything in the cylinders. I just grab the coupler or bolts in the flywheel when I pull the bolt or turn the puller. One good whack with a deadblow and they pop right off. Though I've had some that have snapped puller bolts and needed some heat.
