Are they worth having? My SJ is basically stock with a B-pipe. I want as much bottom end as I can get.
The one I have goes around the cages so they are still the same distance from the manifold.
Part of the point of the reed spacer is to move the reeds away from the crank/cases - so yes, they'd be the same distance from the manifold.
I have the R&D 3 degree angled one. Thats the one that was reccomended to me by some Pro tuners.
You will lose some throttle response due to the extra case volume but if you build some epoxy ramps under the reed cages it will help in getting some of the hit back.I use it as a spacer for carb clearance only. If there's a difference in throttle response or whatever, I certainly can't feel it.
It angles the reed pedals closer to the boost port and transfer ports for a faster air/fuel charge when using extended length cages with ported cases.why would the angled one be any better....i guess it would level out the carbs but would that make any difference?
