Daytona was the best ride I have ever been too. Maybe we can carpool.

Any down side to going big bore when I re-sleeve??? I was thinking of going 85mm

I plan on doing the Daytona ride......middle of winter for me so riding in FL is nice break from the cold.

I am not sure the specifics on the kawis but a BB is nothing more than a larger sleeve, however the cylinder will have to me machined to accept that sleeve and that is where the $$ comes into play. If you were happy with the power I would just do some porting and new sleeves. That will both save you $$, increase power and retain reliablity.

i would think piston availability will be a bit of an issue for your ski, but what do i know just seems you would be more limited in brand and availability

I think I am keeping it mostly stock except the pipe and flywheel.

Re-sleeve one cyllinder, 750 cases, UncleHulka Crank, bore, Fix R&D head or put stocker on, put stock Flame Arrestor on, new top end, new gasket kit, slap it together and make it to the Jersey Rager and Daytona this year!

DJ,

I had Art at Jetworks do a freestyle pot job(mild) on my cylinder this past winter for $280. The exhaust port timing was not raised at all as I wanted to stay with pump gas. Keep in mind I have the drypipe but it is pretty violent now when you stab the throttle. Dave at Impro's rode my ski over the weekend and wants to re-pitch my prop to smooth it out, currently a 13/19 Skat Big Hub with a 80mm nozzle. Only running 180lbs of compression but two things I changed recently really took full advantage of the porting. First, the addition of the M16's with Jetworks reed petals. I must admit, I was skeptical at best about adding these because of the $500 price tag. It made the ski come alive on the bottom, no hesitation. Then I changed the curve set I had in the Advent with a much more aggressive curve. Much crisper now off the bottom as well as the mid. The top is identical. The thing flat rips now. I would imagine with your setup and these additions, it would have some serious bark. Can't remember if you have the ignition but I would look into it. Seen a few on the pwct site. I can give you the curve set that Greg did that accomodates for the Vilder flywheel 5 degree advance.

I think I am just going with all stock except the pipe and flywheel. Too broke to do anything crazy, plus I really want this engine to last.
