Trying to remove the pump shoe on my '95 Blaster. Any tips on removal w/o taking off/chipping hull?
MADMAT said:Can it break though? I wested the entire thing in....everywhere. I even wested the back side in and covered the 4 screws that originally held it "in". I also put a layer of west over the whole thing inside and out and sanded it really smooth. I wonder if that sucker will ever come out again.:aargh4:
I'll give you an old school neon yellow 2 bar one for a sbn 44.:biggrin:yamasaki said:i got mine out last night too... one day, i'll be like you rich people and have an intake grate too.![]()
yamasaki said:mine was green glued in too... took about an hour and a half to get out. i was trying to be careful. it really wasnt that bad.. maybe i just got lucky? i heard the horror stories of people doing all kinds of fiberglass damage when pulling the shoe out. last thing i wanted to do was a bunch of fiberglass repairs. my days of fiberglass work for fun are long gone. i just want to ride the bitch till the handlepole falls off.
i was gonna go the 5200 route.
wax, tell me more about this xft alloy shoe.. i'm interested... is it pricey like the r&d one?
