Pulled a Wedo

I was out ripping my ski around yesterday practicing my barrel rolls, when I must have knocked the battery loose, which just happened to have my bilges connect via a quick disconnect terminal. So I didn't notice for a few, and went about ripping it up. After about the 4th or 5th throw I could tell I ingested some water and got worried. No bilges. My ski had already taken on so much that it wasn't going to be running itself out. By the time we got it back to the back, only about 8 inches of the tail was visible. Thank god for new foam or this baby would have been on the bottom of the lake.
I knew it would happen sooner or later. Thank god my good buddy X2 Rags was riding with me, and was there to motivate me through the ski-rehab. After a little while of wrenching, swapping batteries and plugs, etc, I was ripping it up on the lake again about 10PM last night. I got it out and ran the piss out of it for a few, then ran it hard this morning. I'm on the way back to the lake now to tear it up some more.
Needless to say, I was about to poop a large brick out there watching all my hard work sinking. Now it's just another story to tell, thankfully one with a happy ending.
Anything I need to do to my ski after this happened? Like I said I just pumped it out for a long while, then got it running good and ran the crap out of it.
I'll post a vid later of the engine blowing water all over the place.

oh and just so you know this cat is freaking killing it on that x2 :brap: we should have a vid soon we are still figuring out the helmet cam and of course when we got ready yesterday to go vid some the batteries died :chairshot:

anytime man :Banane35: i really figured mine would be the first down lol
so you up for a half mile swim again today dragging 2 ski's?

Yeah after thinking it through, I decided I didn't ride enough surf to justify the one way. I leave my ski anchored out a lot, and don't need it taking on water. And I've just seen too many people flip their ski and that one way acts just like a vent to let air out, and in comes the water.
However I have to say, if would have saved my ass this time. I'm just going to correct my problem that caused the bilge to disconnect, and stick with the current setup.

Thanks for the props. I'm definitely getting a lot more comfortable upside down. I'm about ready to get back out there and hit it again today. Feels so good to ride out of rolls. I'm only getting about 3/4 the way around, but I'm doing that pretty consistently now. I know if I try it off a good barge wave or a good cruiser I can make it all the way, and I think I could make it on a wake board boat or something smaller I just haven't had the chance really. I'm hitting these off of small rollers in the channel, and my own setup wakes. I'll have some video very soon. Just as soon as I'm a little more satisfied with them.

Won't be long my friend. I'm going to have the lady video some flat water attempts in the morning, and I'll try and get them up. As for the video of my ski blowing water, I'll post it in a few. It's just that the dude who filmed it made it WAY too long, so it's going to take forever to upload. I'll get it started now and throw a link up in a few.

The vid is 70MB, I need some way to pull the first about 10 seconds, and cut the rest. Any one know any free software I can use, LMK.

Windows movie maker. CPRman shot about 8 gigs on sunday of us playing on the river, he may try and size it down to around 70meg and put it somewhere we can show you all.

Glad to hear out turned out ok and just for the record sinking sucks.

Yeah man, it does. I've been reading your horror stories thinking, damn, that would be the worst ever. Now I know, first hand. Seeing only a few inches of my baby floating above water was VERY nerve racking. It felt oh so good though to ride it again. That made it all better. Now I know what my ski is made of. Completely full of water, the carbs looked like big shots of vodka or something when I pulled the F/A's, and I rode it about an hour later.

Nice. Thanks for the help man. Because of you, I now have a b-pipe, dual carbs, sxr prop, and Windows Movie Maker. Your full of good ideas.
Here is a vid of a water logged 780.
