prop or no prop that is the ??

i have a factory b pipe limited chamber and will be installing it soon with some proks.my question is will i need a new prop right away or can i ride untill the winter and then get a prop...i am thinking i wont need a prop untill it starts to spin when i give it throttle and i sit in the water like a duck...would it be better to wait on the prop untill winter or should i get it right away

yes yes yes i am planning on getting a prop no matter what...im just wondering if it will be fine to ride out the rest of the summer and late fall with the stocker...or will i wear it out b4 the end of the season

It'll just ride like a turd if it is a stock prop. I can't believe they still put those on Superjets... damn stubborn yamaha.

At least find someone who has a used Solas "I" prop that you can get for cheap. You will notice a big difference and you can always sell it off later when you step up to the Skat Swirl or the Solas Concord.

Impellers don't wear out on their own. They can become damaged, but not worn out. You should go ahead and get a impeller as soon as you can. The stock impeller is garbage. It creates a tremendous amount of cavitation. With pipe you'll be wishing you had better hook up. Here is a thread that I started and took some pictures for compaison.

Yes, you'll be okay.

If by "okay" you mean the ski will propel itself through the water. It's still gonna cavitate like a mutha though...

ride it for the season as-is, then worry about the prop this winter.:haha:

My prop sucks also, but I for damn sure don't want to be stuck without a ski for any amount of time.

youd get better results running the stock impeller with the stock pipe.

I do not agree. I am broke and don't have money for my B-pipe yet. I have a stock exhuast and have already installed a 13/16 3mm cutback Solas Concord, and it was vast improvment over the stock piece of crap impeller. I would never ever ever want to ride with that stock piece of garbage ever again.

Forget about the cash you want to spend on the Prok’s flame arrestors and put that money in your impeller. You need to keep the stock airbox if you are going to freeride. IMO

Don't get flame arrestors, you need to keep that water out.

You could flush cash down the toilet and get the same effect.
just remove some of the screens from the stock flame arrester. It works great.

my point was the b pipe would cavitate a stock impeller, so itd work better being powered with a stock pipe.
