I found a guy who whats to trade a nicly painted black 2002 stock SJ "low hours". for my Blaster which has lots of mods. I would say that my ski is in good condition with some wear and tear.

My ski:
no cracks in hull
it has a rebuilt 701 with good compression
Factory "B" pipe
after market aluminum water box
MSD CDI
all new components in the electrical box
rebuilt stator
solas concord 13/17 prop (or 12/15 2mm cut back - your choice)
bored exit nozzle
jet dynamics ride plate
jet dynamics scoop grate
yamaha performance after market suspension steering.
umi bars
odi grips
oddissy battery
foot straps installed the right way
hydroturf that is still in excellent condition
good condition custom paint
jettrim seat cover
stainless steel seat retainers (the same ones from south africa that jimmy visser uses)
bilge pumps

Is that even? should he or I pay cash to even it out?

Depends on who wants what more than the other guy.
A stock SJ needs some work to make it "fun".

I forgot to mention...even though the blaster is modded out, and the SJ is stock....that's still a fair trade.

I don't know man... I don't even know if I would trade my Stock blaster, their getting harder to find in really good condition... but that's just me. I would just buy it from the guy and then have the best of both worlds

Blaster for a superjet..... your kidding... right?

If the SJ has a blown motor, this still a good deal. I know you have put a lot of money in the blaster, but they just don't keep their value. I would jump on this deal while you can! I looked for months for my SJ and came accross a lot of blasters for $1500 or less in really great shape with mods. Also, see if you can keep your B-pipe.

Good blasters really aren't that hard to find. A good 2002 roundnose superjet is worth 3K right now and 3500K in the spring. A running blaster is worth anywhere from 1000-2000 unless your talking about a fully built race ski. Personally I would do the trade in a heart beat.

If Tim decides not to trade then I'll trade the guy my cherry 96 B1 with a B-pipe, UMI, and a few other goodies.

this thread is full of blasphamy.....may the b1 gods smite you all.

But Tim, they are right about blasters not holding their value. That's why we seem to collect them, they are just too easy to pick up cheap.

If its the same guy who pm'ed me wanting to trade me for my blaster you might have to pay a little to make it fair. It all depends on how bad he wants a blaster though. The ski he has is nice but you are going to have to put out alot of cash to make it worthy.

If this were a book in High School....this would be taught as an example of forshadowing. Picking up a 95 blaster tonight. Waveblaster069 and I have way too many now. I was over at his place the other night with my blaster, and realized that between the two of us, we'll have 6 blasters now.

I feel the same way, but it does seem the Blaster prices have risen some (especially in March-May).

Prem1x got his for 1,000. You can tell he put work into it.

you could always take a couple of key parts off the b1...ie prop, msd and your JD intake......

Especially the impossible parts to find:

ex: Visser style seat keepers.

Try to keep the MSD enhancer, pipe and prop or any combination of formentioned parts if possible. That being said, I would say go for it but a blaster in TN is just a couch. A blaster in surf looks fun as h-ll.
