optimization of SXR engine

Hi All.

Im thinking of optimizing my SXR engine, right know, I have only cleaned and polished my carbs, and removed the choker.

I will not ( for a time ) buy exhaust and bigger carbs and heads.

Im thinking off Carbon Reeds and getting my Head worked out for a bit higher compression.

Would I feel a difference with Carbon reeds? and maybe a Cone?

Im will start to bouild sponsors and a rideplate in carbon.

My plan with all this is to get my ski to bee better in corners and sharp turns, I just love to turn super sharp

Nicolaj,

Why not try an aftermarket rideplate, that way if you don't like it's performance, you can sell it and try another brand/design? I think you will have a ton of time/money in laying up a custom carbon rideplate design. Unless you already have a firm idea of how you are going to build it. I love to make custom things in Fiberglass and would try in carbon fiber.

Get your flywheel lightened... Mill the head... (reeds don't do much).

If you want it to hook up better in the corners..get an intake grate.

Im not unsatisfied with the SXR - NOT at all

But you know, more what more

Can i just but the light the stock flywheel?

And can i "just" work the Head to a Highed compression like 225Psi? or something?

What would you do?

What would i Jet-Flow-Valve do?

I have on, on the hand very cheap, could i mount that on my stock exhaust and engine?

And what hose is the stinger?

There is a stinger insert that is cheap that will increase your mid to top.
