The boat ramp is a bout 1/4 mile away from the campground and is free. There is no way to lauch at Claybanks unless you carry your ski down about 142 steps. "See the video"

Any W, NW or SW wind should dial us in!

Most people dont pay but if they catch you they will make you pay. Plus we know the powers that be monitor this site so if we say you dont have to pay it might make us look bad.

Again its only illegal if you get caught we got yelled at for trying that one time because there are boats allowed on he beach so no beach carts accross the beach but I have seen it done and it would make it way easier than going down that stupid channel

It's only $5 and supports the local community so they can continue to maintain areas like these launches---PAY THE $5 CHEAP ASSES!!

I'd gladly have paid the $5 if they had posted it or had someone there to collect it. Obviously someone renting a campsite would have the opportunity to buy a pass, but the people that don't go camping would not know this.

my comment was not directed at you, it was directed at the people trying to cheat or "save" $5 buy rolling in over the beach.

in the grander expense of the whole trip $5 is a drop in the bucket. what, 2 gallons of gas?

somebody has to excavate the ramp out in the spring after 5' of sand buries it over the winter, someone has to sand bag it and repair the concrete (it is INFINATELY better than years ago)... and i gotta believe the ramp fee is going towards that cost. better a paid ramp than no ramp...

That ramp sucks. You're dropping into a small stream. The lot had no lines painted, and people parked everywhere. No room to turn around in there on a busy day.

In comparison, my local ramp has plenty of marked parking for trailers, and a ramp that is big enough for my 30' trailer to fit. They charge $4 for a day pass, and it includes a park + beach.

I have site #13 and #14 resv. Both have electric and it seems 14 might be available. I'll know more in a week so I may have space plus I've been told (made fun of) I set up a pretty good camp sight. I'll be their four days in # 13.

I may be coming with like 3 other skis and this will be out first free ride event. Were all super stoked. Couple questions.

If we launch the skis can we bring gasses containers to the beach were everyone rides?

How far is the the closest gas station? I don't have to many containers

I think that's it's.

So are people out jet skiing like all day long basically and just stop to eat?

Thanks

Dan

You can fuel up at the beach. You'll have to carry your can down the stairs (about 90 steps )

The nearest gas station is about 5-10 min. away.

Ride however much you like. Rest and relax as needed.
