That's fine and dandy for you to have this opinion. I believe that everyone makes this site what it is. Pete is certainly a high-caliber rider and contributes as much as he can to this sport, but there are many others here who contribute, as well.

Personally, Pete's response was overboard, as far as I am concerned. :rolleyes:

I guess my whole point is that I just don't get why Pete wouldn't choose to ignore Charlie if he is going to get SO upset over his comments.

Everone KNOWS what an opinionated, couch-bashing, a-hole he can be---and yet they argue with him. WTF?!?:argue:

charlie can come off as a dick sometimes, but hey...so can Idok...


ill be the first to say, at first..I didnt like him...negativity blah blah blah.........then, this past jan at the daytona ride my bilge switch shorted out at like midnight (i was busy at lollipops)...
lo and behold, charlie was out there with a flashlight that night disconnecting it for me (and we had never met before)....so my batt didnt die.....

well thats alright in my book.....

I usually don't agree with some of your posts, but I will agree with this one.

I could care less if there was a "couch" or runabout section here---it will not please or displease me in any way. Charlie has a varying opinion on this---is that wrong?!? :boggled:

I've known, ridden and hung out with Pete for a while now, and I can tell you this is definately out of character for him. He takes this sport to heart probably more than any person on here, and puts more time and effort into promoting it than anyone and I think sfl just pushed him to his limit. I agree what he posted was a little out of control, but thats not the kind of person he is. Just my 2 cents.

Regardless, to say what was said puts him in the same league as SFL IMO.

I don't agree with the opinions of many on this and other boards, but I do not get baited into chest heaving contests, nor do I threaten people with personal threats and inuendo's (sp).

The energy on this board has been electric with the PWCToday fiasco, I think it's time everyone took a big breath and a step back and realize how ridiculous this is getting.

How can this sport grow, when we as a group cannot grow within ourselves...:aargh4:

110% agreed.

Watching this and PWCToday over the past week is just embarassing. Instead of being out riding and sharing stories about what parts broke each day grown adults are bickering over the Internet like children. It's sad, its embarassing. This site might be considered the more "hardcore" site but it certainly doesn't seem that way lately.

It's the friggin Internet...

that's true but if no one objects to what he says then the new people to the site will think what he states is the general attitude. I know I've read many many times that this forum is for all PWC riders. that would be hard to believe after reading what Charlie posts.

ha kinda funny song.

I havent been in this sport too long but i have meet and gotten to know alot of new people at all the rides. Ive met pete a number of times and he is an outstanding guy that lives for the sport. not many people are as outgoing and sincere as pete. I have also met charlie, Ill admit he has problems keeping his mouth shut. but on the phone and in person he is a good guy in his own way. He helped me out a few times and I know he has shared ALOT of his knowledge with many people on this site.

my point is this site is, I see this site as a family. All families have overachivers and drunken jackasses. Thats what keeps everything interesting. I gotta say if everyone had the same opinions and got along or if we were all as nice as pete, i would lose intrest in this site.
