No cooling pisser on Squarenose SJ?

Can anyone enlighten me on this...

Do squarenose sjs not have a cooling pisser line to the outside of the boat? I just backed my 90 stock square into the water (55 degrees, ouch.) to run it with a load on the pump. There is no pisser line thru the hull, normal? :dunno:

The ONLY solution to this problem is an aftermarket pipe!

You can put a 3/8" brass or plastic T in the pipe between the head & the exhaust headpipe, position it so that water flows straight through the T joint from the cyl head to the exh headpipe. The left over outlet of the T will be sent to a pisser on the side of the boat. I would probably also reduce the 3/8 line to 1/4 with a piece of smaller hose shoved in the end before the pisser or get a pisser with the small hole. This will help keep enough pressure going to the exh for cooling but still give you a good stream overboard.

You really do not need this but it is a good way to make sure that the engine is getting cooling water. If I were you I would just save up until you can afford an aftermarket exh system and do it all at once.

I read that but which hose ?? there is a thick one that is connected to head on the left and another thinner hose on the right that goes into the exhaust also! I know what the cylinder head is but not the "exhaust headpipe"??

I already have a T their for my flush kit! Looking at the engine from battery side, does the flow of cooling water flow up and right into the cylinderhead or flow left and down?? which way does the flow travel?

exactly where i added mine when I dropped in a 701 in a 93.

My 93 did not come with a bypass, so it must have been 94 when they started.

Please say Flow = left and down or up and right into the cylinder head?? from the rear cooling hose.

When looking at the stock setup there are two hoses that are attached to the cylinder head. one on the rear of engine and one on front. how does the flow of water go through the rear colloing hose??

When you say "the pipe extracts the water from the cylinder head" I am not sure which hose you are reffering too, there are 2??
