Yeah, I'm using final cut, and I absolutely love it. My laptop needs a memory boost though. I'm slowly getting better at navigating my way around, and so simple things aren't taking as long to do. I admit, there is a little gratuitous use of split video in this....I was exploring the possiblities of FCP :Banane01:.

When it got to the part with the timelapse driving and other clips, I think my brother was going to have a seisure. He said "woah woah woah, what's going on, too many things are moving on the screen."

All in all, the clips the oceanside crew put out are only going to get better from here. We are working on securing a 3ccd camerafor better quality footage, and getting our helmet cam setup fixed. And then, it's on like donkey kong.

I break stuff
The helmet cam works fine, we just need a digital video recorder to capture it. Maybe we should take a collection.
John at JSS was telling me how to do it. It sounded pretty easy. Just connect the battery and it'll record an hour or two, depending on the memory on the dva. He'll even wire up a system if we get the parts. Can you imagine a helmet cam setup done by JetSki Solutions. Braided wire looms, waterproof connections, militairy switch........

Apparently he does surveillance as part of his other job, hopefully not in the Ladies restrooms.

nice...yeah the split screen got a little crazy when you had alot of motion but its all good, still a nice effect...

see, i have the opposite problem, i have the receiving cam but not the helmet hook up...yet...i will have one by the time we come out in june...

Jerry, you did an unreal job on the editing! You really have a lot of tallent for that.

And BR's on the blaster are SICK!

Runaway...that is a great idea about having JetSki Solutions wire something up!. And I think we have a line on a camera we can use w/ the helmet cam.

Jerry, thank you very much again. You guys can't imagine how much work goes into editing someting like that...

Seriously Jerry, I'm really impressed. It came out really good. I was wondering if you are making an uncompressed version of these so we can show them on something other then a computer screen?

Yep, I keep all the original footage. I actually put our last few videos on a dvd just to see what it looked like on a tv, and they are pretty damn awesome.

I'm trying to figure out logistically if it's possible to aquire a DVX camera so we can shoot 24p. We'll have the ability to make footage look very film like. Gentlemen, the freeride revolution has begun, and part of that is bringing our films to the level of others in the action sports industry.

those cams are cool and all, and i would kill to get my hands on that varicam for a week, but i would be bummed to have to lug it around all the time...
