hey pete, the pictures posted yesterday do not do the color justice, I think you will love the color of the ski, more like the picture robertg's IMO...

Wow. I'm impressed. I just got back from Steve's.
First of all, just to clarify, it is not baby blue like a couple people mentioned (perhaps they were kidding). I think Charlie stated that it was the blue color of the Windows XP bottom bar and that is dead on. If I had seen this on a ski when I was choosing a color, I would ha ve picked this myself.
Steve is very proud of the resin that he used for the hull. It's quite different than he used on mine and the others before it, but apparently this is necessary to Pete-proof it:biggrin: Not sure exactly what it was though.
Pete, I think you mentioned that you are going down sometime soon. If you can, make it during the next few weeks so that you can have a chance to help assemble this beast. I think Steve will let you help in some of the construction and that makes it all the more worthwhile. I wish I had the time to do that on mine.
As for the weight, Mike, he didn't state a final weight, but mentioned that it should be in the ballpark of mine and Pat's. If it's a little heavier, it would be only marginal, and only because fo the needed reinforcing for Pete.

SFl, when you made the comment of it being 99% the same as round, that the strakes are tapered in the back... i hope thats only .5% and the other .5% is some extra material in the pancake region....
