I'm thinking about getting a Jet Ski.

Good for you. I'm so jealous that you live near the surf and I don't.

I'll probably get a sit-down.

Dude, you can't get a sit-down.

Why not? Dawnette can ride it when she wants, I can still ride if I'm tired, I think it's a better choice.

What's going to tire you out such that you can keep riding?

What?

The couch won't tire you out, you sit there and squeeze a throttle. Get something that you can jump waves, get a SuperJet or an SX-R.

You can jump waves with a sit-down.

You can also take your ten-speed to the half-pipe but you still look like just as much of a dick when you go freeriding the couch.

I see your point.

Here is a conversation I had w/ a buddy of mine after showing him pics from Daytona:

Wow! You guys are nuts on those things. Do they still make stand ups?

Yes, Yamaha and Kawasaki make them in limited numbers.

Are they difficult to ride?

Not once you get the hang of them. But it does require good balance and practice in order to control the boat

The only ski I have been on is my old tiger shark..........can I take out your boat in the spring

:haha: No

I proceeded to tell him what happened to my buddy Tony, who had only been on a stock kawi 650sx before but could stand up on it and ride it fairly well (2 years ago). Anyway I let him take out my Lamey squarenose ............talk about LMAO :haha: It was hairy at times but hillarious. Not a good ski to start out on.

I LOVE doing this to local couchers! They'll usually be a friendly couch rider at the beach that wants to know about the ski and "dem flips" but doesnt understand what I mean by a "smaller and more agile type of ski." They'll leave the beach 9/10 standing right up, realize.."oh wow this easy"...speed up...and then try to make their first right turn....and go flying at like 30mph. ...Also...I'm not sure what people dont understand about DONT SWIM TO THE SKI LET IT CIRCLE AROUND TO YOU. Ofcourse them swim too it, and we all know how that works out, putting you at the cent of the circle and causing way more fighting

This is just with a basic bolt on motor, not even a lamey. Haahaha...I want a lamey now. it'll be the local widow maker
