who knows what the point is, whatever it is i am sure we will both miss it. but, to elaborate a bit i will say the the x-scream motor you talked about is an amazing motor, i am not sure if they have layed all their cards out on it or if their is more to come. they have done an amazing job with porting a motor that works well for watercraft application. I will also say that it is nothing that hasn't been done already when talking about twin cylinder two stroke engines. snowmobiles have had this stuff for years. to see what the future of our engines would be, all we need to do is look at the outboard engines and the sled engines. that is where i see the future of two strokes going. 90% of people here do not need or want an expensive, high power, high maint, short life BB stroker motor . But i would bet that 90% would be interested in a 600cc 120hp DI motor that will run all day on a cart tank of fuel, use 1/4 of the expensive oil, and last for years and years. When your custom motor has problems you can be down for the entire season. dare to imagine with me if Seadoo made a semi lightweight, flat cornering, wavepopping, sharp turning hull. put adjustable trim to compensate for different rider weights, 600cc di motor with 120hp and can be service 5-10 min. down the road or get parts from the local dealer. now that would be something i am sure alot of us would be interested in. seadoo has everything they need to do it. they also have a marketing scheme of getting out on the water and having fun. this could appeal to all us recreation riders. as long as they don't make it to be a race coarse ski, they could pull it of. IMO of course.
