Got it today. Derrick and The Ski Clinic rock! This baby is loaded with all the new options and a few extras. Wider rails, extended pump tunnel, multiple engine mounting locations, carbon/kevlar reinforcement, a new hood latch system (thanks guys!), matching composite rideplate (thanks again!), polystyrene foam in the bottom half of the hull, rear corner bow eyes, and a front foothold.

This is my new hull from a warranty on BOB #6. Who else does that?!

The Ski Clinic's customer service is second to NONE!!!!! I can't say thanks enough.

l resent that statement about the BOB warranty. Highroller is doing warranty claims now!

And your hull looks great!

what happened to your original hull?

The hoodlip cracked. After that Derrick changed the way he made the hulls to strengthen the area. We thought for sure the crack would keep going down the side since there was movement on both sides of the crack, but after a summer of backflops it never did. The sides were reinforced with carbon/kevlar so I'm sure that had something to do with why it never got any bigger. Looking back, I think it ended up being overkill to replace the hull but we didn't know it at the time. I had one of the first BOB's. These hulls are constantly getting better as they incorporate new tweaks and ideas. I can't say enough good things about Derrick and how he runs his business. I truly appreciate what he has done and actually feel guilty getting a new hull since the crack never got any worse.

Of course I would, and believe that everyone should, but we all know this has not been the case in the past.

I know Derrick did. I know Berky would. I think Bobby would. I think a few others might. I know some have not.

point being, You should not feel bad.
If it had been 6 months later and you had ridden the snot out of it, thrown away rolls from 10 feet up in the surf............ Then yeah!

Whatever.

I worked all day getting it together. I thought it would be just a couple of hours. HA! I always underestimate.

This time the ski has a brand new X-metal adjustable pole and steering. I'm using regular fuel lines for most of it too. I left the return line clear red so I could see gas moving. I put the pole pad towards the front of the hood to give the strap something to push on to hold the front of the hood better. Seems to work OK. I doubt I will be slamming the pole down as much as I slam it forward.

I didn't run the motor in the forward location. The coupler spacers I got from Kommander Industries were only half as much as I needed. I guess Ross Champion used an extended coupler in addition to the spacers? I wanted to see what difference the front foothold made by itself anyways.
