I hope the guy has better business ethics and skills than he's shown in the past.
From what I have heard/read first and second hand in the past year about him, it would take a looooong time of having a good reputation before he'd get my business.
Sorry, but the bad past is undeniably there, and it will take a long time to cover that stain up.

Paul is gonna need all the support we can give him guys.
He is basicly starting over. Clients and phone # have been stolen it seems.
Susan has shown her true colors by pulling this off on the weekend of paul and Kathy's wedding, but she will get whats coming to her in the courts.
This TNT guy is making a bad move starting a new business in such a shifty manner. This sport is too small to fool everyone, and word will get around about stealing JrMagoos client list without permision from Paul. He got Pauls clients, Pauls old building, and the JMagoos phone # from a pissed off/scorned X.

Well...I don't know Paul or Kathy...yet :smile: but I have seen and read enough here and on the other site to know that they are good people who will run an honest business AND do awesome work.

We have a boat dealership here on Lake Lanier, so we are exposed to lots of people who boat and ski. Paul's place will be the place we will direct people who need service and parts for skis. (And of course he will have our business as well.) I would even be willing to put up a poster or put out business cards or whatever out if Paul wants.

Good luck with the new place AND yur new life...don't look back, you'll just end up with a sore neck.:smile:

You don't know this. It's pure speculation. Mark could have opened up the shop and Paul's ex could have approached him. You have no idea. Don't jump to conclusions. Reread Paul's post. It says, "I can only assume at this point that Sue is attempting to take on a new partner (Mark) in Tom's River." Pure speculation. Paul is great guy but everything he says isn't necessarily gospel.

It doesn't matter. The perception that most people have of what happened should have been enough for him to stop and say, "Whoa, I probably shouldn't do this." Regardless of how all of this went down, his intentions appear less than honorable. It's called ethics.

Mark didn't steal the client list. It came with the business partnership.

if Mark was really smart - he would have opened his shop in Paul's old space and gotten a new phone number.

then buy Paul's old phone number

advertise on PWCT with the new phone number and make no mention of the old one - but if someone dails the old number it should automatically forward to Mark's new number.

Does that make sense?

To hop on PWCT and announce a new shop and then post Paul's old number just looks bad, IMO

Look, he is all about Freestyle Freeride and whatnot. The X-site will more than welcome him... It would be good for his business to do so...
Close minded.. No. Paul is my sponsor and like a father... Did I still welcome him to the area.... YES...
and I might get beat out of winterizings, but I still did what was right and welcome him.. it is a small sport and what is between paul and the X-partner is just that... We can still all ride... and he I think he needs to show some respect, to people here that cant go to pwc.. and also to clear some air !

You know, I personally take offense to that, most of the members here are the very ones that made up the core members of PWCToday from the time it started until the time the X started up........ What you may call negative may actually be people responding to FACT and previous experiences with this guy...... I dont know him, so I cannot voice a good opinion, I can respond to how he tried to accuse Paul of doing shoddy work, and then when he posted copies of reciepts, they did not even match the ski that the work was the point of accusations.
