Correct, I don't know him. I'm not defending Mark. I'm stating that I'm going to go on my personal experience with Mark (if I ever have any with him) as my guide. I'm not going to go on what 'he said, she said' dialog.

I don't think so. I don't have the time or money to personally try out every product or shop out there - so I rely on feedback from others.
And that feedback hasn't been good in the past.
Plus, that old Sk8ersnow thread wasn't feedback from a third party - it was Mark dealing DIRECTLY with Paul.
It was clear for everyone to see and draw conclusions from.
It's tough, I agree - especially if he really is a straight up guy that wants the best for his customers.
But, first impressions are usually lasting impressions, as bad as that sucks.

Mmmm---OK. I still think that he has already shown his true colors by his dealings in the past, posting under different accounts, etc. etc.

I'll spend my money at Paul's new shop.:biggrin:

Can I be first to say "I told you so" when this guy screws you over? (If you use his services and that is the outcome)

don't forget - Mark was relating 2nd hand information in that thread (the GP1200 that wasn't his) just like Doug is telling us we should not do.

if and when i am ready to get some motor work done paul gets my business. if anything just based on his rep but also on past dealings i have had with this man. he is indeed a prince in the world of jetski repairs and dealings

in the same breath if tnt is a unethical business or not you can't blame the guy for trying to follow in on pauls coat tails. there is much more horrible things that go on in the business world on a daily basis.

would i let him do work for me now. NO.
not based on his business practice as of yet but just i have not heard a thing about the work he does.5 yrs from now if i need some porting and he has built a rep like paul or group k or tlr and for some reason i can or need to use him?????? well it's great to have that option i think.

one more arrow in the quiver of the freeride market/ jet ski performance market can only help draw attention to our sport and make more people enjoy it and buy into it. if he is any good , word will get out and the wealth will be spread amongst everyone in the end i think. think about it, if riva and paul and group k and tnt and tlr and keith head are all building these killer skis and cg.... peopel will be like " damn who did that for you " etc etc
or maybe not, i'm just a nurse what do i know about business

This is a very complicated affair, The legalities have no place here.
I wish Mark all the best in his new endeavor, I believe like everyone else - time will tell.

I created the X along with Darrin & Harrison to be a free place where all like minded people can come & enjoy their sport. We are a positive group of people that enjoy and support the sport. It is what it's all about!!!

Please enjoy the X & as always, I will be here with my new shop & positive attitude to continue the ways I created with Jr.Magoo's. Thank you all for your wonderful support
