Not a poisonous snake.
wuss.

DOnt kill the good ones man, they eat the same food as the 'bad' ones.

DOH.

Actually....I could be wrong here but that looks like a water moccosin....or a lot of times they call them cotton mouths because they are black with cotton white mouths. If it is....then thats one heck of a poisonous snake...up there with most rattle snakes.

Anyways thats a pretty sweet picture.

Not a moccasin, a 6 foot long cotton mouth would me as big around as your leg.

not to mention wrong coloration.

Im pretty sure its a water moccosin. I have seen them 6 feet and THAT size. Yours must of ate a cat to be big as your leg.

I don't think that is a moccosin either. A 6 footer would be rare and Missouri is pretty far north for them, right on their range boundary. Mocossins are usually fatter than that and have different coloration.

i would have started the ski like it is in that picture too. Reved the ski up and throw it into the meat grinder for a jet blast of snake guts :skull2:

I have a pet Kingsnake and Spotted Python....and I still dont like water snakes. Water Mocassins scare the cripe out of me.
I dont know what you have there, but it does look similiar to some of the results on google images.

i can only imagine the carnage if it made it into the prop (and Ill call it a prop if I want to Dammit!)!! Bleh

it is too black to be a moccasin. i would like to know what it is though. i looked at a pic of the black snake and it looked a bit different than this one. this snake did have some brown designs on the belly but moccasins have brown on top.
