Little bit of destruction

So typical scenario. Broken handle pole from wave jumping. ****ty thing is I had a limiting rope I could have put on the ski. I was gonna do a UMI handlepole converison, but now I want to save my UMI parts to actaully put on a superjet. I have seen the dark side and I now I want a superjet. I have started my SJ fund and hopefully I'll have one in a couple of months. But here are some pics. I'm gonna try to repair this pole and put it back on. I'm not gonna make it pretty, just fix by this weekend hopefully so I can go riding. Last case screnario, I have got a pink 750 pole I can put on in the mean time until I figure something out. Betcha haven't seen that color combination.

Thanks suck bro... my buddy did the same thing last year to his SXR... he had an aluminum handle pole sitting in his garage and was just too lazy to change it over.

The SXR is the gateway drug! So easy to learn on, but than when you get really good you realize the SJ could do so much more.

I have an SXR pole that is in slightly better condition than yours. You can have it for the shipping.

I may be riding at Ventura this weekend so I could also bring it along.

Good luck!

That would be sweet. Have I talked to you on pwctoday.com before? You gonna be riding Ventura harbor or the oil piers spot where you launch with your beach tote?

Yep. Same enzo. We were going to hook up for some rides in the past but it never worked out.

I would be launching about 3 miles north of the harbor with the tote.

Do you know if they rebuilt that wood ramp by the oil pier?

I haven't seen it myself, but my buddy drove by and said its rebuilt and looks really good. He said it looks better than the last one that was there. What time and day would you be getting there? PM me with your cell phone number. Just a little confused, cauase I thought that spot was more like 10 miles past the harbor, so are we talking about the same spot? The spot that you drive under the freeway and then you can turn either left or right, and the wooden ramp is on the right hand (north) side?

I missed this post. Last time I rode there we toted the skis down some rocks by where the RVs park along the road. Where the ramp was is probably 5 miles north of this spot. Looks like we are talking about the same spot.
The ramp makes it easy! Glad to here its back.

I got tired of breaking ropes and those cheep keychain hooks is use for hardware. I went this route w/my -2inch ac pole. I drilled the turn plate bolt with a 17/64 bit and taped new threads using a tap 5/16-18 LM H4 and simply used a 5/16 eye bolt. Depending how I feel that day I made up a 17, 18, 19, inch limit cable and the loop on bottom is 19 inch to clear the latch. I've grown so use to a rope, its like foot holes you just cant ride w/out 'em. Lou

Nope that capped off fuel line is a vent for the gas tank. With a air vent you can get .4 to .6 gal of gas into the tank, its "T" in at the fuel pick up on top of the tank. Last year I had to take the hood off every fill up. Lou
