list your jetting specs and what size carb

i was thinking this could turn into a good tech info thread if all goes right. it would give a good base line to try when your carbs are way off such as mine. last weekend i dissentigrated my motor that was pretty much spot on. this week i came up with a 760 that happen to come with a set of silverish looking mikuni 44s with the 4 holes in the throat of the carb, no choke and already setup for a primer. it came jetted 2.5 n/s 120l and 140h. the ski will run but rich. ive read where the total number should be 220-230 but now need to know where to start subtracting. according to the mikuni manuel, this is how it comes jetted.

thanks munki, thats what i was looking for. it doesnt really matter where your riding at. pin the throttle and it will bog just a little and take off. the exhaust on my ski looks like the exxon valdeez

have you tried to ride with the hood off? you could have a exaust leak that was my problem, and i dont even know why i decided to take the hood off but i did and i found the leak my jetting was perfect

take it out on the water, run with and with out the hood, if its thru your power band you have a big leak, bad blow-by or jetting but the leak is the the easiest to check

no but before i rode it for the first time, i let it run on the trailer in the water and checked for water and exhaust leaks.

I know exactly what it needs-a NOVI 48 on a single manifold designed for 62T cases! I will even dial it in for you!
