I know there are many threads on this very subject but I still have some questions.
First of all, I have never ridden a ski with holds nor have I seen any live.
Just looking at pictures and comparing one to the other is useless as I don't know what to look at or for in a foot hold.
In the other threads when someone asks about a certain type and the answer is usually "I have these and like them" or "I had then on my old ski but have brand X now and love them a lot more".
What I would like to know is what exactly do you "love" about "them" ?
Do certain holds work better for beginners as in people who never used holds before ?
Are certain designs meant for surf while others work better on flat water ?
Am I asking too many stupid questions and instead should hook up with someone who has holds and try them ?
I'm thinking of taking the plunge and getting some foot holds. Not having any experience isn't making it any easier to decide which ones to go for.
I have so many questions but to keep this thread relatively short I'll keep them for later.
