Super Jet Leaking hood seal...Thinking of getting a watcon seal, are these Good hood seals??

any one use watcon hood seal are they water tight in wave riding??

I had a problem with my sj taking in some water and noticed the hood seal was pinch and bent in along one side . Anyone else have this issue or can recommend a hood seal that works well

Might want to try a ratchet strap with your current seal to see if it helps clamp the hood tighter. Can make one for real cheap . If it doesn't 't work like you want then get the wAtcon hood seal and use it with the ratchet strap.

If your talking about the octane hoodseal that Watcon sells- then Yes its a big improvement over the yamaha hoodseal, seals better because its a simpler (flat) design (that stupid vertical flange part doesn't get folded over). I Still need a bilge pump though as my hood has the stock air passages.

Most people replace there worn OEM seal with a Watcon because Watcons are WAY cheaper and they work equally as well. If your OEM seal is still good, then swapping it out for a Watcon would be a waste of money.

I just got my second watcon seal, thay are great quality. DO NOT even consider a hydro turf seal, the last one I bought got thrown in the trash about 5 minutes after installation.

For the price and quality of the product you will not beat watcon. I have used the hood seal on my last three skis and I think I have turned three buddies on to them no problems, just a good seal. On the first one I used some extra super 77. The last two just cleaned up the seal area with Acetone and stick it down.

Just looked on the CF website and it's a Watcon seal that they are selling. I used one on my FX and it worked really well.

Oem 120 something CF 70 something Watcon 23 something. Not only is the watcon a great product but a fraction of the cost of other options should be a No-Brainer

I'm sure you could call John Zigler, owner of Watcon, and you two could arrange something with shipping. Saturday def seems possible. He's John Zigler here on the X
