Touchy, nobody ever implied anybody was a poser (that part was a joke............. "LOL" ), seriously, we are all interested, post what you got done........ This crap is not easy.......... for Daytona, I had to rebuild my engine the week before, did not even get to test it out.......... ran fine........... Before Texas, I painted ski, got it finished about 1 am the night before I left for Texas.......... got there and it did not run worth a crap......... I know **** happens........... Just got it running yesturday, now I have to pull the Engine and replace the short shaft..........

Hit a snag today as well.....painter wants anouther week to finish paint.........that puts me well in the red, I was expecting to have it today and work all week on it.

He knew I was on a tight schedule......we talk about it from day one and he said I would have it by the weekend......that was last wednesday. I have had about the same luck with the XFT stuff........that was scheduled to be done on March 30th. Needless to say I am going to have high expectations of both the paint and the parts.

Well, its crunch time, pulled motor, removed intermediat shaft housing........ sure enough, light tap with a hammer and the short shaft fell out................

Got the hull back from paint....................looks good............DAMN GOOD!!!! :sneaky: :woot: Sergio said that my stuff WILL be in my hands by next wednesday so we are back on schedule. I don't want to screw myself on this one but................It is looking like the ski will be in attendance and RUNNING at the build off. :biggthumpup:

I might need help from some local guys finding a hardware store if the build gets really down to the wire......but I think I am in good shape at this time.

I will do my best..........while the hull was in paint I made sure to organize things so all I need to do is plug and play. I bought extra clamps, bolts ect and the xft stuff should come with all hardware so I think I will be OK......if not I will need to bum some hardware or run to the store. But if I have that stuff on Wed I will still be in Louisville on thursday so i can hit the hardware store in town. I know that I might be turfing some on Friday at Lanier b/c I did not order that until the other day and they said it will be here on thursday of next week........we leave friday mourning at about 4am. If that is the case I may try and break the motor in on thurs w/o turf on the ski, then turf that night and into friday. It is going to be a tight schedule, but I think all my ducks are in a row and everything should fall into place.

found the spot for my first graphic today......................i was shooting the top coat and was almost done when some flying creature desided it liked the paint to much and pow, i spent the next 20 mins pulling incect parts out of my paint.....................get done and his brother hits another spot.......maybe they were just commiting suiside, however there is a nasty spot on the nose im not happy about.
