same motor..2 different hulls.....most of the time that motor doesnt even know its running.....I am expecting at least 3 seasons out of this topend, then it will go back for inspection and a fresh topend (if needed)
Rode with another local this weekend who has the Xscream stock stroke 865 kit (mine is the 785)...He said that the Xscream motor (currently at 827cc's) is WAY stronger than his DASA 920
he in fact termed the DASA motor a POS...said it was completely lacking in bottom end, but had a great mid and top.....
I rode the 827 and it was stout!
a few weeks ago I had the opportunity to ride back to back to back:
my Xscream 735
stock stroke NPV lamey running 240 psi
5mm ada billet with TL
the TL boat was the snappiest, but the X motor felt MUCH stronger than the NPV stock stroke lamey....
----t
he way it was explained to me...DASA's motors are ported for race, maybe they offer f/s porting as well.......not 100% sure
nor am I sure if the porting is done by hand, or by CNC...I know the Xsream porting is CNC done, which will make it 100% accurate 100% of the time
edit--to make this statement a little more accurate
Racers edge specializes in race motors....Xscream specializes in freestyle motors
