Nice vid! You guys were hitting it off those small ones. Hopefully this fall, we'll get some big :):):):)!

The Cleveland Crew needs a couple GoPro Wides for sure! Order one up Matt, and I'll get one too!

Nice vid.. I grew up 1 block off Erie but left before I was into skis. It still looks nasty as hell, but who cares about deseases and seringes if you have surf like that huh?

I would have riden it QUICK, who the hell bails on surf to eat crab. Only one thing I would have bailed on that surf for and its kinda like crab but not really.

LMFAO!!

actually, the lake is very clean now... zebra muscles helped that out. It was very muddy looking because of all the rain we've had lately.

yup... southwest winds run the entire fetch of the lake creating our waves. Sucks because to ride them you are constantly battling the wind.

To give you an idea of how much wind it takes to move water... in order for us to get 4 - 6 foot waves (what you west coasters might call 2-3 foot) we need 20 - 25 mph hour winds over a several hour period. They start small and tight, but after about 4 hours they get bigger and begin to spread out more.

In the fall we get huge storms that move through the north east. We get winds that roll through 25 - 35 mph with gust over 50. The waves on the lake can build up to 12+ foot easily. But riding them is difficult due to the high winds. (oh, and the very cold temps) i've ridden in 35 mph winds, 40 degrees air temp, with the lake water in the 40's as well. Even ridden while it was snowing just to catch some late fall waves. brrrrr

Nice!!! Looks like what I ride but with a rock bottom:skull2:

most of our riding area is sandy bottom, but this spot is can be brutal with the rock.

yea i nailed bottom a few days ago and we had to put some glass back on the nose

some glass... LOL - I think you're the only one I've ever seen bust off and crack a Taylor Curtis CF nose piece.

looked like a good day...glad it's warmed up enough for you guys to have some fun!

yeah, it's been a crappy summer so far... we still have yet to see a day in the mid 80's... sucks.
