Super Jet JSS coil upgrades

One would think that you could send a "bad epic" back to the manufacturer to be tested. Does ATP do that? Like MSD does with their brains.
Thats a real question, not a joke. I dont know if they do or dont. and if you go through the vender or direct.
They failed right after there warrantee expired, the option was to purchase a new one

Fair enough, but still not easier than just replacing a plug on wire

Once you have the coil out of the electrical box, which you have to do anything if the wires go poof, and if you have all the supplies to do this mod. It takes about 20-30 minutes if you grind the sides to epoxy them back, if you make a tool out of tubing to eat out the rubber than I would say about 10 minutes worth of work.

It really is easy to do.

It is just about the ultimate setup, IMO the MSD boot is nicer because you can run their red clips that hold the boot to the plug. But thats just me.
These clips are like $10 each but worth every $$$$

I think the red clips are totally unnecessary. If you keep the inside of the boots clean and install on dry, clean plugs, then the boots cling super tight and never back off or come loose at all.

It is good practice to degrease the inside of the boots of the black goo that forms there. I clean mine out every plug change.

I like to totally slather the :):):):) out my boots with dielectric grease. That makes the retainer clips mandatory.
