B-pipe coupler:

Chamfered the edge of the coupler(JM tip)..used some windex and mated the head pipe to the chamber. Made it secure with some hose clamps to let it set up for a few days and take shape.

***RAD DUDE tube will not work on this ski with a stock tank, xmetal water box...Will be up for sale soon unless I figure something. I didn't weigh it but the tube seems lighter. Bummer.
Siliconehose.com I got 3' for mine with XM waterbox....perfect

The standard SJ setup should work fine, it did in my freak.
just for future reference you should always have your intermediate housing without the intermediate shaft bolted in place when lining up your pump on aftermarket hulls. The mounting could be somewhat off center where your intermediate bolts up. Anotherwords the shaft may need to be off center of the hole in bulkhead a little once the intermediate housing is bolted up. Just because the shft is center of the hole does not me the it will be center of the intermediate housing once in place.
Learned this the hard way.

Great tip...

I will double check alignment this weekend or next. I will be finishing up the FFH install and hopefully turfing this weekend.

The motor line up perfectly...good connection on both splines and the couple overlap/connection was spot on. That makes me think that the bulkhead is good and that the center hole is where it should as well(not angled funky)...

but I will definitely double check before final alignment...

thanks

Thats a great tip! If you already have the midshaft pressed in then you SHOULD be able to see the midshaft centering by looking through the driveshaft tube from the back with a good flashlight but you can also slide the midshaft assembly onto the driveshaft and check the bolt hole alignment

I will laying down 9mm plush for the sides and 26mm for the bottom...

On the sides of the gunwales:

I was just going to do 9mm on the and sides for impact but was thinking today I may do 26mm for the gunwale sides and 9mm on top + 9mm on top of the foot holds.

Are you guys doing 26mm or the 9mm on the sides on the gunwales?

Tem said that this particular ski was a bit thin in the nose and to be on the safe side, suggested I reinforce it.

He sent me lots of high quality carbon. I can see why his skis are so strong.

He has been super patient answering my questions. He sent me the carbon at no charge...him and Nancy are really good people

This was the first time I have worked with carbon. Much easier, in some ways, than glass.

Had to stand the ski up to work in the hood area. The glass work on this ski is very professional...well laid in his factory

I am buying a silicone hose and some elbows...It doesn't look like the Rad dude's tube will work and I don't want to have to wait another week after I mock it up. Because of this, I am buying the hose this weekend.

I took out my calipers and measured the necessary diameters( b-pipe, x-metal water box, SF aluminum exhaust tube)

I have my measurements jotted down for hose diameter and length...i will be buying some elbows as well

I realized last weekend that I have only 3 strap holders/brackets to hold the stock tank in.

I believe a stock superjet 2 or 3 extra ones.

I doubled up the straps for fitment but I don't think this is a good idea to use these brackets for both the waterbox and the gas tank.

Here is a pic:

I was thinking of installing some extra inserts.

How do you guys have your setup?

Should I just put both straps in one holder/bracket?
