I'm goin' for two
- Location

The last few weeks have just been those kinds of weeks. I've been absent from the boards, and the water too. I know two weeks of not riding seems like nothing to you cold weather folks, but I almost lost it.
A few weeks ago I stripped another drive shaft/short shaft. A month and a half after replacing a stripped set. I was frustrated to spend money on something that I had JUST replaced, plus the time involved in doing so. Adding to the frustration levels was the fact that I could not for the life of me find a set of replacement parts. Just when I decided to drop a chunk of change on a wax racing setup, Jared says they won't have any more for 6 weeks! That's just waaaay to long to be out.
I was frustrated and felt a little helpless. I was ready to sell all my poop. Ross came to the rescue though and kept me sane. Darth Vader has made a comeback. Darth is the name of Ross' BEAAATER square nose that has kind of become the backup hull. Thankfully I had a superjet B-pipe sitting on the work bench waiting for my roundnose to get finished (thanks yamaslut). And thank god Blasters and Superjets have so much in common.
I figured a couple hours max and I'd be ready to roll. I didn't realize how much I've been piliging parts from the roundnose as parts broke on the blaster. An 8 hour day (and lots of swearing at a b-pipe) later, the ski was together and ready to ride.
I've been out a few times riding since then. It took a little to get my standup legs back after taking nearly 6 months riding only the blaster. Thankfully rolling a superjet is a lot like rolling a blaster, and so my first rolls on the superjet were actually pretty easy. And then yesterday I went out and got my nerves out of the way to do a backflip.
The conclusion to this story is that I've had a poop ton of fun riding the superjet the last week, and I don't plan on being sans standup for so long ever again. I love my blaster, but the two are going to get much more equal attention in the future.
Viva la Superjet!
thank you for reading my long boring post.
