How's the riding in mission bay?

My wife is going to be doing her dolphin thing for 8 hours (March 31, 2008), and I was thinking about riding my ski during that time.

I was thinking about mission bay since it was right by seaworld.

How's the riding there? I read it's popular with the locals... Is it too popular? :friday: Like, will I be spending most of the time dodging others?

Any surf?

Mission bay can be fun. It is not the cleanest water though. No surf, but it can be accessed out the jetty. Only thing is that you can't ride there. If you have a ski and need to kill some time, try it out. It's always cool to ride other places. You can float your ski right outside of Sea Worlds outdoor water show. Get a free show if anything.

Don't bother with Mission Bay. If you have 8 hours +/- go to Oside. 40 min drive north, ride a tank or 2 in the Cali surf. Way better than Mission Gay.

Mission Bay is dirty and full of idiot couchers and boaters. You also have to ride in a counter clockwise circle around the bay. Go up to Oceanside and ride the surf for sure...Wayyyy cooler.
