How to strip ANODIZED parts

easy.

Get yourself some Draino style "kitchen crystals," a coffee can and your parts.


Pour about 1/4 cup of the crystals into the can and fill it halfway with water........Do NOT do this inside as the fumes are extremely noxious. It will also smell like ammonia so the neighbors might think you are running a meth lab.


let the ano'd parts soak for about 20 minutes, rinse extremely well and clean with acetone


paint, powdercoat or reanodize as you see fit! :Banane09:

True, the one time is saw Easy Off used, it was on an RC Boat cylinder head and required a bit of scrubbing.

Doesn't require much from what I have read. Its a bit of a process but it looks pretty straight forward.
