how much gas does your ski burn on an average day?

kinda vague question......whats a day? a session? 2 sessions?

st. aug crew on average runs between 10-12 gallons every sunday....we all run either 44 or 46 singles.....the goal is to never go home with fuel...on occaision we'll have to pull off the beach for more gas if the surf is REALLY good..

3-5 sessions per day, each lasting 45-60 mins...

SJ = 5 gallons on a normal days riding
SXi = 3 gallons (wifes ski, doesn't get a lot of use)
Wave Venture = 10-15 gallons

It's a really expensive day out when I have all three skis on the water.:bigeyes:

I can play on the 550 for the whole day(30-45 minutes out and 5-8 times) and I might use 5 gallons. Its like a freaking hybrid or something.

Usually 2 tanks out on the Mississippi some times 3 if the waves are good from the cruisers. On an average 2 tanks a day Saturday and then on Sunday usually two evenings throughout summer.

my single 44: alllll day on 5 gal in tank. then 2.5 spare in the jug.

It would go a bit more, but w/no reserve it BEGINS to run out after 45 minutes or so. When I refill there's usually 1.5 gallons or so in the tank. Just with sloshing gas it's a bit dangerous if you happen to run WOT for more than a second or two. If I was able to have a reserve, I could go another 10 or 15 minutes. Either way, it's worth it.:biggthumpup:

Without them 5-7 gallons per JS and 0 XP.:biggrin:

i have 10 5 gallon tanks.

For all the toys to go on the weekends its gas both saturday and sunday..

If i ride both days on the SJ its 3-5 tanks of gas.

I would say mine averages about 50 minutes per tank. Kinda of sucks now as I average about three tanks per day. That's less than 3 hours riding.:bigeyes:

6 gallons is alot of ridding on a stock 650 just not as fun.

Yeah you can get a lot of hours outta 6 gallons of gas on a 650. How much is a tank? 6 gallons? I think a tank will last me around 1 1/2 - 2 hours of straight riding, super varied throttle.

I know I can take like a 30-45 mile ocean ride and still not run out of gas

I get the normal for a slightly modded roundnose... and have most of ya beat with my modded 650sx with the extra large Westcoast gas tank. That sucker is big, prolly 8 gals or so.

lightly tweaked SJ I go through 8-10 gallons a day. Usually 1.5-2 hours per day depending an what kind of riding. The Octane gets more time per tank, but has a lighter rider, and very little WOT time.
