SXR how hard should it be to turn the driveshaft by hand?

Just pulled my motor out of my sxr and couldn't turn the driveshaft, even with some leverage from a big wrench. I pulled my motor cause i thought it was locked but maybe there's something with the pump/driveshaft?

Sounds like it is time for a crank rebuild?? That is how I caught mine.....starter would not turn it over.....big wrench in coupler would barely turn it over...

the motor turns over easily by hand out on my workbench. would that mean that the crank and stuff in there is fine? when i reach into the jet ski and try to turn the remaining driveshaft attached to the pump, that is what is seized. I don't get what could be locking that up, i can't see any objects i might have sucked into the intake that would be doing that. i'm pulling the pump off right now.

If there isn't a stick or rock lodged into your impellor then the pump bearings have siezed. You will first need to remove your prop. If there's no damage to the pump housing, you will need to replace the bearings

i got the pump off just before i got to work. there's a washer stuck in the impeller!!! I literally had 10 seconds to look at it but when I get home I'll see what the damage is.
