FU** the river! Oceanside every weekend. You live 1 hour from some of the best surf ridding in the US. Flat water? What are you thinking?

I know I know Oceanside is bomb.

I love it out there though....the scenery is nice.:cool2:

How about this-I'll go to the river one weekend then to O-side the next and go back and forth between the two all summer. Is that ok?

I work on other people's ski's in my down time. I am currently doing motor and hull work for a local guy. Went from a bone stock 701 to getting a b-pipe, Riva stage 3 porting, enhancer, 12/15 cutback concord, Riva head, dual Riva powerbomb 48's and installing REV holds and turfing his boat. Just finished assembling anouther buddies 5mm stroker motor that we tore down. If I am really bored I will dig into my boat and find more stuff to modify. I just try and stay busy whether it be with ski's or work.

Riverrat....how hard is doing your own port work??? I know about the sportport templates but are they hard to do? I was thinkin about trying it out but am a little nervous.

Grab some glass and lay up a topdeck. If you dont want to try that try replicating a rideplade, nosepiece, hood , etc out of glass, carbon, whatever.

I recently found a go ped on craigs list for $100. Runs great and is something else to wrench on. Here are several ideas on how to keep busy. These are the things that come to mind when I get board. I'm never board.
If you say "I've never done that" then you should go do that.

get a dirt bike
get a 50
get a street bike
get a snow mobile
build a hot rod
buy a boat
get an RC car/plane/boat or helicopter (preferably gas powered)
go to the gym

That should get you going!

like this one? :cool2:

(about 5.5HP with the pipe....and the street tires are one of only 2 sets in the US right now :sneaky: )...llike you said, something else to wrench on

I have not tried porting a cylinder, only cases and roughing up the transfer ports. On 2 strokes it is all about the porting.........that is basically equivilent to a 4 strokes cam shaft. Exhaust port shape and height is critical and will dictate your powerband and how smooth the motor runs. I would send it to a pro first b/c they have all the specs on what works best for your application. Case porting is no big deal, just time consuming. Plus that in not really a mod you can screw up. All gain and no loss modification is what allot of people used to call it.

I do home remodeling on my home from January through April, then pick it back up in maybe October through November. If I'm not doing that, I'll wrench on the skis.
