a) not that i have found from my research. you can shorten a SN pole bolt and re thread the end... i image most machine shops can do this for you.

d) wow! that is crazy.

Try Jetmaniac on this board. He's parting out a bunch of Superjets.
I've used the SN bolt on my RN, just a bit longer but will still fit.
I would say try Oxnard111 for a bolt too, but looks like hes posting here already.

the 650sx bolt works with the aftermarket mount but is too short for the stock mount, well you could use it with teh stock mount but i like to have at least 3 threads left after all tight with the stock mount it had about 1/2 thread showing

The bolts you bought from Home Depot are likely a lesser grade than OE bolts. Not saying their bolts are bad, but in this application, you don't want a "soft" bolt.

If there was an alternative that didnt require machine work or was in the 20-30 range I would buy it. hint hint nudge nudge

2nd thing, I thought they used smaller bolts that would not support a spring.... or was that just mine?

Anyone have the two bolts everyone needs that they are willing to donate for a short time for the prototypes in exhange for a free bolt?

I would look at it and see what I can do.

sweet. finally. I need one really bad too. there is a guy at a cycle shop here who says he can cut and rethread my sn bolt. But in the future...i would buy a new one if i had more time before daytona.

Wow, $52.50

Do you guys think there is a demand for a better quality bolt? I could do some out of a good grade of stainless.

Are they known to break?

Brian

I have never heard of a bolt breaking the quality is just fine.
