I finally changed to a springless tight bolt set up and I'll never go back. I didn't think I'd like it in the surf, but it rocks!!!

Thanks for all the feedback :notworthy:

I use to run with a moderate tight pole and found it much less of a shoulder workout, didnt have to support the pole all day. I run it really tight now, once in a while ya have to tug it up,but it stays put most the time,no going back to lose setups after this

I love mine tight. I cleaned the bolt and threads in the bracket with brake cleaner the last time I had the setup apart, then re installed it with red lock tite. It has been about 2 months and it has not loosened up even 1 %. I intentionally made it a little too tight thinking it would loosen up after a while, but I was wrong. I've gotten used to it now. And it moves a little easier once everything is wet.

I am running a WDK bracket with an x-metal pole.
