I use Window's Movie Maker. You can import the raw footage into WMM and after you edit (add music etc) you can simply save to your computer then upload that file to vimeo or youtube.

1. Plug the camera into the usb port

2. Drag and drop the file from the camera onto a folder on your hard drive.

3. (optional) Edit the video, add music, titles, etc. with Windows Movie Maker or something like it.

4. Go to YouTube or Vimeo and upload the file to their website.

5. Once the file is converted on their website, you can link it up to X-h2o and share it with us.

You can use the Windows Media player but I would suggest using a third party. Here is one that is FREE and I recommend:

Also before editing your video, make a copy as back up. Software... any software is unpredictable. You would hate to lose the one shot of you landing that barrel roll.

p.s: After you are done editing you can then upload to your Video site of choice.

That is weird and makes no sense. an AVI file is basically a container for video and Audio and it's probably the most widely used format out there right now. I am able to open them with no problems using Windows XP and Vista.
I am searching and I can't find any info regarding that error message. I don't know what to tell you, reboot and try again, perhaps try different file? It could be corrupted. Can you watch that video using Window media Player? Is it playable?

thanks for the feedback guys, I looked around a little more after I posted last night and I see that you need to tether it if you want to keep it. I think i'm gonna pick one up and hopefully be showing you some sweet videos soon

I have been trying to reproduce your error message. Is this what you are seeing?

Ok. 2 things could be happening here.

1. Your AVI file has a proprietary codec not supported by Video Spin.
2. You are opening your file the wrong way using the FILE>NEW PROJECT menu

How are you opening your file? I am going to assume this is the cause.

Try it this way instead:
