5-DAY WIND/WAVE FORECAST (issued 7am 1/28/10):
THURSDAY/FRIDAY: Seasonally cool mornings will give way to a nice warming trend each day ahead of an approaching Gulf low, surf will remain very small, though we may see a slight/slow increase in small E/SE wind swell on Friday.
SATURDAY/SUNDAY: The gulf low should be moving off the GA/SC coast early in the weekend. The gradient between the low and chilly but marine modified Canadian high pressure settling southward should build a new 1.5-2′ (preliminary estimate) NE wind swell Saturday late into Sunday evening. Stay tuned for an updated/extended forecast with solid numbers as new data comes in.
MONDAY: Lingering ENE swell with lighter onshore wind. Will update later.
