FX1/SJ parts compatibility

Going to be starting my FX1 build and being that parted out FX1s are even more rare than a complete one I am looking to find what parts are compatible with superjet (or other yam.) parts. Any parts feel free to throw any out there but the ones I need are:

Midshaft housing
Exhaust tubing
Steering cable
Pole
Pole bracket?
Throttle cable
Waterbox
Motor mounts
Battery box

Thanks doc, the waterbox and steering cable where my main concern I had assumed that the SJ pole would work with an SJ cable just wanted to be 100% before purchasing. Also...will a stock RN waterbox fit or not?

it'll fit..not as good, but I did dry fit one when I put my ski together...


your ski has a steering cable, b ut I dont know how good it is.....it DID move though...maybe pull it off and lube it up..

I have a line on a SJ pole locally so I may go that route, so Ill probably end up swapping it for a SJ cable.

Another question:
It uses a RN midshaft housing so maybe it uses the same coupler cover? But, it uses a different midshaft (different length?) so it might use a different coupler cover?

Part numbers are identical from a 2006 SJ to a 95 FX1

Remember if you are planning on using a Stock SJ pole it will be 2 inches LONGER than the Stock FX-1

Here's a shot of the pump end. (I think I posted this before...Sorry for the repeat). The SJ cable is longer on both ends, More travel.

So does the pump have less throw? If so, and I put in an SJ pole and cable would I then have problems with the cable binding/stretching?

no, just notch the turning nozzle to give it more throw (check out the blowsion iznell twister nozzle if youre not sure what talking about...)
