Frosty's 2010 Freeride Superjet - 2012 UPGRADE
Well, after an entire winter of work (2007/2008) and after 3 seasons of abuse, it's time for the Orange creamsicle to be retired. She's held up well, but is cracking apart dispite being heavily reinforced. She's been a killer ride...
I purchased a new unmolested 2010 OEM hull from Wamilton which should be shipping Monday.
I'll be swapping most of my parts from my current ski over to the new one... I have on order some new parts:
WCF footholds - running them in my current ski and love them
Blowsion one way valve with SS flange - tired of the 3" monster XFT valve leaking
Blowsion Tubby Destroyers
Still need an OEM ride plate for a '08+ superjet (I will D-cut it). and will need a longer drive shaft... which Wammer is helping me out with.
I'll be cutting off the rear bond line, like I did on my current ski, and will be cutting open the tray to replace the OEM foam with the light weight polystyrene foam, as I did in my current ski. Oh, and once again, heavily reinforcing it...
more to come over the coming weeks...
here's the current ski - getting ready for retirement after this season...
