FPP Headpipe repair

I know there are a couple threads already on this, and I don't want to :deadhorse:
Been looking for a reason to use that one, haha.
All three adjustment screws on my headpipe are either broken off almost flush, or frozen and stripped out. It's the way I bought the thing, unfortunately. The B of it is I paid damn near new price for it. FPP didn't have any available in the time frame I had to have it in, so I bought a whole setup used and sold the other two pieces, ending up in around $250 in the headpipe, so I hate to trash it.
I want to use it on my new 701 setup, but I REALLY want the adjustment screws fixed. I realize there are probably a lot of machinists out there who could fix problem, but is there anyone people would recommend? Any that you guys have actually sent headpipes to, with broken off screws, that fixed them?
I'm looking for someone who has experience with them. Hoping out of everyone who uses these pipes, and all of them that get stuck, surely someone knows who to contact and where to send it for a guaranteed fix. I don't need any of the, soak it in kerosene, etc, responses. Thanks, but I've tried it all. I just made it worse, surprise surprise. I can't remember if only two, or all three are now completely broken off, as it's not right in front of me.
In actuality I probably only need one of them fixed for adjustment, but as of now they are all busted. Last time I used the pipe, I could get water in through the top injection hole. Now it appears to be stopped up. I've put it on the compressor, soaked it, etc. Can't get it to flow air into the headpipe. If I could get the screws out I'm sure I could clean out the holes, but I can't!
Who can fix this??

I got the same problem. I tried to ask here before and got nothing. So I have been talking to Chris at Water Dawg Kustomz and he said it should be no problem to fix the screws. He had told me about 1-2 hours $40-$60 to fix if all goes well. I have mine boxed up and will be shipping it to him on Monday so he can get started. Give him a shout.

Thanks for the heads up. I've got one guy on the line who I think might be able to do it, just waiting to here back. He's also getting some other parts from me to do some work, so if he thinks he can fix it I'll send it all to him. Otherwise, WDK it is! Keep me posted on it, if he can fix it for that price it'd be well worth it to me. Thanks again man.

If I remember correctly...theres a guy on the forum that was selling new adjustment screws. He made one run of them..not sure if he has any left or made any more.
That would be Parrdaddy, and I believe last I heard there were no more unfortunately!

I thought hotproducts made new or oversize screws now

EDIT: they do http://www.hotproductsusa.com/PDFs/Hot_Products_2008_Catalog_Exhaust.pdf

Thats awesome! Thank you man, I wouldn't have even looked there!!
Now I just need a hot products dealer, I know theres a bunch of you out there! Help me out!
Those say they are a direct replacement. That being the case, I would assume kit #2 is a direct replacement also, just comes with a drill bit and tap to drill out old screws and re tap? I figured the "repair" kit would be oversized screws. Any ideas?

They are not over sized. They are the same size as the stock screws from FP. That is the same kit I got to replace mine. You can go to any hardware store and get the same size tap and drill bit if you already have the 10-32 screws. I only bought the replacement screws kit #1. The drilling out the old screws is the hard part. If you go at the wrong angle and or punch through the inner layer where the small tuning hole is it won't work properly when the new screws are replaced.

Yeah I realize what a PITA it would be to drill them myself. So even their "Repair" kit is the 10-32? That sucks. I was HOPING it was oversized. I wish Pardaddy had some of those kits still available. I saw a thread where he said he might have some around Christmas, but I need them ASAP.

Its not cold there yet? Or are you going down south? I am freezing my nutz off now and its not even that cold here, yet.

I'll let you know how Chris at WDK does with my pipe.

Oh hell yeah it's cold! I pretty much ride year round though. I've got a nice cold weather suit I use through the winter. Thats not the reason though, I'm trying to get this 701 done and in my X2 before Daytona which is only two months out, so the sooner the better. Keep me posted man!

I see. Good luck getting that ready for Daytona. Send that headpipe in to Chris and he might be able to get right on it. He talked like he would start on my the day it arrived to him. He can do yours first. I am not in any rush till spring comes around.

Thats awesome man, thanks. I should hear from my guy first of the week, and I'll know for sure what to do from there. Are you sending him the new screws you got from hot products? Should I go ahead and pick them up?

Chris had asked me to send the new screws with mine. I already had them. If you don't have the screws I am sure he could get them for you. You will need them regardless.

No he will not!
The Hot Products kits are my kits that I sell on here, Kit #1 is standard size, Kit #2 is oversized 1/4-28 screws. I pretty much only make a run now when they need more, I usually keep a few sets on hand but they go pretty quickly.

As for the Christmas run of screws, these will be standard size BK Twisters, the screws with the T handles. The kits at Hot Products are regular screws with no T handles.

That should clear the air
