Found out why my ski didn't start.....

The ski was running great up until the wire broke. Do you think I should replace the relay regardless?

Also, what do you recommend to use to clean the box out around the wires?

you can buy a spray can of electrical parts cleaner at an auto parts store.

use dielectric grease around all the seals when putting the box back together again so hopefully it will be a little more watertight...

Personally I would find a complete used clean ebox and a fresh OEM gasket.

So this is why Scorn told me not to use a Yamaha ebox...

One time I was riding and I had the positive battery cable come off of my ski. Good thing I never stopped the engine or else I would have been swimming....

a wire brush and some CLR or other salt nuetralizing agent will likely clean that up.

I hope you dont have a MSD enhancer that would have likely killed it.

Clean it, try it, and get a spare for when that one craps out. But i'd run it until it poops.

I was surprised at how corroded it was when I opened it up. I guess I better seal that thing good lol. I am going to clean it up and go from there.
