It looks like whatever got loose and remachined it did a pretty good job ,I wouldn't worry too much about the balance issue.

A friend of mine gave me a tip: maybe the flywheel bolt is to long and the flywheel was never tight enough, that should explain why the bolt wasn't loose.

That's very believable. I had to chase threads on a crank before and go a bit deeper in order to get a flywheel bolt to seat properly. It was tight, but that was only becaus it was bottoming out on the threads, not because the shoulder of the bolt was seated on the flywheel.

IMO…..the main problem with those RAD flywheels is that the center hub it made out of aluminum and it expands more then the steel crankshaft taper. So far every used RAD flywheel that I've seen for auction on eBay has had some damage from it coming loose. I really think Jetnetics had the right idea to make the hub steel and the outer portion of the flywheel in aluminum.

I saw the same thing happen to a Jetnetics flywheel. It had nothing to do with the flywheel bolt being loose, the washer that seats the bendix to the spring in the flywheel cover slipped out during installation, and wore down to nothing after damaging the inside of the flywheel. the ski ran fine for two seasons, and the damage was found during routine maintanance. Are you sure your washer is still in the flywheel cover??

I forgot!
This rad flywheel had the same wear on it. a bit on the taper too, i ran it because i got it free, i ended up loosing the front seal/bearing after 15-20 hours, the flywheel was covered in oily residue when i open the cover. i swapped cranks out and put in a new oem seal, and after 5 hours, hydrolocked that crank. i then opened the flywheel cover to find more oily residue. At the time, i was doing a job for a machine shop and brought the flywheel in. a guy spun it to clean up the edges but exposed the magnets on half and didn't even start cutting the other side. he brought it back to me and told me that somehow this thing is not centred to the hub. i threw it in the hole and buried it. since i have put on a lightened stocker with the same seal and it is finally clean under the cover. Yours could be out of balance and it rubbing as it vibrates. maybe check your front bearing if you can.

I found what damaged my flywheel

Look what I found today in the flywheel area.
This little thingy damaged my flywheel.
So this is why my engine didn't turn over from time to time.
My bendix was broke and this little thing came loose.
I'm very glad I found the cause.
Thanks to all of you for helping me with this one.

I had the same damage issues with bendix breakdown. The round spring let go and festered up the anodizing on the inside of my RAD flywheels.

Did any of you guys ever hear the bendix bounce off the flywheel when doing a nose stab? I think this happens when landing nose first. :shooter3:
