I forgot!
my buddy torn the back of his knee ligaments and has yet to be back on a ski. he did this a dirtbike and has had surgery now. it happened two summers ago. This is what adds to my mental block for learning the roll and flip. I don't like breaking parts but that is not the worst of it. Hurting myself so i cannot goto work is what stops me. i can only fix my ski if i can work.

It wasn't the flip that did it. Losing steering, hammering the throttle, and staying locked in did it. Lol.
But messed up either way.

Ouch really sorry to hear that Matt! I crashed on my dirt bike last year and my knee took 90% of the impact. Hurt pretty bad for about 10days then slowly went away, and I have been fine since. You might get lucky.

Thanks Shawn. You're giving me hope.
I'm bummed out that my running buddy Zap (Golden Retriever) will have to do without his daily morning run for a while :(

On a positive note, I was nosing in those flips off a single wake without using trim at all.

strap it tight , add ice every other hour and take some voltaren to get rid of the fluid , then get your bum on and exercise bike as soon as you can bend it enough to get it on the peddles , the more you do the better it will be . iv had 8 knees surgeries if you ligament isn't torn just stretched you will be good to go in a week or 2 , you should get a MRI to check nothing is torn if it is get surgery as soon as possible

sitting on the sofa it will take forever get to work and you will be back on the ski in no time

have you ordered up a new trim yet :-}}

Ha, not yet.
I typically ride 17 miles each day on my bike (plus running 5 miles). I think the running will have to take a break, but I am hoping the biking can return sooner. Much lower impact.
Thanks for the advice Shane.

Lol, wee knee? WTF is that man? :lmao:

Thanks for the well wishes guys. Don't think I'll be doing much riding/running/bike riding in the near future. No school to keep me busy either.
Damn, I'm gonna be bored.

I'll make you a deal, I have a superjet I need built... so I will let you build it for me so you're not bored, and I'll ride your superfreak for you so it doesn't get neglected!

:icon16: jk... good luck with the knee man!

I smell a lawsuit with the boat builder...

Locking in gives me an uneasy feeling.

Good luck with the recovery, don't rush it.

You know Matt 4 over the counter Ibuprofen (200mg) are equal to one prescription 800mg. Pharmacists have told me you can take four 200mg tabs every 4 hours for max inflammation fighting relief for many weeks...that it what I would do (but of course consult with your doctor) because I don't want to be in court also with the hull builder...

Depends on the Dr. bills. Last time I paid for an MRI, it was 2k.
I haven't hit my high deductible for the year yet.

be careful with the Ibuprofin
4 x 200 mg every 4 hours will give you a stomach ulcer pretty quickly
