I think he is asking for our version of Jet Ski Freeride, not freeride in general... Freeriding applies to skiing, boarding and surfing too

if freeride has nothing to do with waves than what is the difference between freeride and freestyle? i always thought freeride was surf and freestyle was flatwater. one of the reasons i thought this is because freeride is where you use an uncontrolable ramp (wave) and do stuff off of it. it is never constand so it is freeride while freestyle is always constant (to a degree)

Freeriding- Aggressive but unstructured riding. There is no organized system rules or course. You work with whatever conditions you have. Flatwater freestyle is a form of freeriding when it is not done in a competition setting.

Other sports define freeriding in a similar way. In snowboarding freestyle is defined within the confines of the terrain park. Freeride is considered the whole mountain. Professional freeriders work with the natural terrain they have by picking lines and working natural obstacles. Tricks aren't nessesary but would be an added bonus. Moto-x is the same way. Riding off the track and working natural obstacle on the trail or in the desert etc.

Applied to jetskiing you could define freeriding as many things beside wave jumping. For example, riding down the face of a huge wave, or blasting through a narrow mangrove dodging limbs and jumping ostacles. Other examples of freeriding would be riding rapids, and raiding creeks any other unusual bodies of water.

Disagree with ya slutty.:bs2: When its a flat day and we are rippin around Lake Erie to the Rock Hall, Browns stadium, and the Flats, doing subs, shooting fountains, doing cannonballs off of lighthouses, riding the rapids behind super tankers, hunting down boat wakes to sky off of all at full speed, and causing general chaos I consider it freeriding... (we don't just go in circles in a small area and practice tricks..)
