Really though, I can't get the story to load for me, so I haven't read it but I have felt that lakes were skeevy for a long time. Lake Ida, down here, often has a sign up about the county not being responsible for any skin issues related to that lake. It shows a fish with skin lesions.

This is why I prefer the canal we usually ride in. There is a constant flow going on there, unlike stagnant lake water that just sits and festers.
